2 Mile Fun Run and 50 Meter Dash
The 50 meter monster dash is open to all preschool, elementary and middle school kids. This event will start promptly at 9am. There will be six groups of sprinters: kindergarten, 1st graders, 2nd graders, 3rd graders, 4th graders and Middle School kids. There is no registration charge for this event, but please consider making a $5 donation to the PTO on the day of the event. Kids will be given halloween candy for participating in the 50 meter dash. There are no bibs for this event.
The 2 mile fun run will kick off at 10am. All ages are encouraged to participate in the run. Costumes are not required but highly encouraged! The run will take place in the Barnesdale neighborhood behind Brown Elementary school. The course will be marked and volunteers will help direct the runners. The race will start and end at the school. Limited traffic is expected. Parking behind the school will be closed off by 9:40am to make way for the runners. Please plan to arrive in advance of the parking closure. Be aware this run is on the open road but is in a quiet neighborhood. We ask that all runners and walkers stay to the right side of the road on or near the sidewalk. The course will be staffed with volunteers and will be clearly marked.
We will have a special warm up before the race hosted by Burn Boot Camp (at approximately 9:40)!
The first 150 people who register for the event will receive a free Wicked Fun Run nylon bag. All students will receive a medal for completing the 2 mile race and there will be trophies for the fastest male/female at each age group (no medals for parents/adults). The age groups are: K and 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders, 4th graders, middle/high schoolers and Adult.
Online registration for the race closes SATURDAY 10/21 at 4pm. However, you can pay cash or Venmo Brown PTO at the day of the event if you wish to run.

3. Sunday 10/22 at 7:30a- 9:30a Front of Brown School
Directly following the race join us for a free Fall Festival! Activities will include: face painting, pony rides, balloon artist, bounce house, a DJ Dance Party, photo booth, bake sale, pumpkin painting, craft tables and games..and more! We will also be joined by many local youth sports organizations for fun games and information!
This race is hosted in an effort to raise money for the Brown Elementary School PTO. We will be taking pictures during the event to share on the PTO facebook group. By registering for the race you are consenting to having your picture taken. You can opt out of this by asking for a wrist band at bib pick up.
